Designed for my sister-in-law, McKinley explores a more expressive side of my work. Inspired by Art Deco patterns, the chevron doors combine walnut heartwood and sapwood to create rhythm, contrast, and movement across the front of the cabinet.
While the door pattern takes center stage, the surrounding details remain restrained. Push-to-open hardware, wrapped grain, and clean proportions allow the material and pattern to carry the design.
Built for someone who embraces a more maximalist aesthetic, McKinley reflects the balance between bold expression and careful restraint.
