First Light explores the relationship between natural walnut grain and the rhythm of repeating vertical flutes. The organic movement of the wood contrasts with the precision of the carved lines, creating a dialogue between natural forms and human design.

More than any specific detail, this piece represents a moment of discovery. It was one of the first pieces that showed me what furniture could be—not just something to build, but something to live with.

Today it serves as our family bar cabinet and remains one of my favorite pieces in our home.
